Icelandic horses are very friendly and really easy to ride.

Riding experience is not required – Arctic Horses will be glad to teach you.

But if you can tolt, ride on!

  • Arctic Horses’ most popular tour is the Lighthouse Round which takes 1 ~ 1.5 hours, and costs 11,000 kr per person.

    For 13 year old and younger, riding costs 8,000 kr per person.

    Please be advised that the maximum weight for a person to ride our horses is 100 kg / 220 pounds

  • The ride goes around the Hópsnes Peninsula, through moss covered lava, passing ship wrecks, the lighthouse in the photo above, and archeological ruins.

    Arctic Horses offers 30 minutes tours for kids, accompanied by walking guide.

    Parents or accompanying adults may also ride, or walk along. 5,500 kr person.

  • Arctic Horses is a family run outfitter in the nearby fishing town of Grindavík, a 5 minutes car ride from Northern Light Inn.

    If you would like to be picked up from NLI, the Arctic Horses RT price – for up to 4 guests – is 2,000 kr.

    When you book a riding tour with Arctic Horses, it’s your tour, and not part of a big horse train.
